The life in London
Move from Germany to London
In lesson we talk about the theme: How would our life change if we would move to London? For me it wasn´t so easy to say anything, because I thought: it isn´t so much what would change. But later, when I thought more about this theme, I knew ,that many things would change.
I want to talk about this themes:
- basic things which would change
- life in London
- school system
- my opinion
Basic things which would change
First of course the language would change. No German, only English. And of course the currency. I wouldn't pay with Euro rather with Pounds.
The cars in England drive on a another side, so this would be very different for me. I talk about my own experience, because I was in England with some pupils. There all of us had his own exchangepartner.
When we drove by bus or by car I thought, that the other cars will crash us. No, of course not. In England they drive on the another side.
The Brexit would make all harder, because we couldn´t fly so easy to a another country for holidays, because we need a visa.
Life in London
London is with around 8.788 milion inhabitants a mega city. London is of coure very famous, so a lot of tourists are there. That could mean thats it´s danger. There are much views and so a lot of different people want to visit them, because of taht there are many cultures.
Stay in London is expensive. My parents or when I would live alone must have a lot of money, because a flat in London is very expensive. So I wouldn´t live like in Germany in a house rather in a small flat. It could be that I sould have a room with my sister and don´t my own room. To live there you must work, study or prove taht you have a lot of money to live their.
So live in London wouldn´t be so easy. Of course there are wonderful attractions, but many things or life there is expensive.
school system
I think here would change a lot. If I would move to England I must every day wear a school uniform to school. This have positive and negativ sides. The school day would start at 8.45 andit would be shorter. And I think thats a good argument to live there. In Germany the school start at 7.45. For me early. But one school lesson would change. Not 45 minutes like in Germany rather 55 minutes, thats long. In Germany we have to sit on year, when we have very bad scores, but we can skip a year if we are very good at school. In England it isn´t so. It is not possible to sit an extra year, or to skip a year.
My opinion
I think England and for example London have positives sides. For example English is a language wich we can use everywhere in the world to talk and Enland is the best country is the best place to learn it, but for me it would change a lot. My family and my friends would be far away. Well this naturally from many people and I know I would find in England new friends, but I would feel homesick although my home would be in England. I think England is a wonderful place and London a wonderful city, but for me only to visit. Maybe for a half year to live there, but don´t more.
