How is life in London ?
How is life in London? What is the culture there? How does it feel to live with a Family?
I have an Aunt and a Cousin in England where I was 2 weeks last year, she showed me a lot about London and told me a lot about life there and what London (England) really means. She lives in London since she was 16 years old, so she knows a lot.To live in London is funny but also exhausting, the traditional breakfast there eat as well as every day. At least that was a must for my Aunt because it should be a strength, especially for the workers. We drove every day with the subway (Underground) to London and that was an experience for me and very exhausting. The Subway in London is one thing I don´t like, you have no overview of the subway and that would be, in my opinion nothing for little children or teenager because it was always full and scary because it was very Dark down there and a lot of the people in the Subway have coughed which is unpleasant because you are close together.
Typical for the culture there are the School uniforms and the 'tea time' which is usually between 16 and 17 o'clock, but not everyone does the 'tea time'. London has many sights, really big Shopping Centers and beautiful parks, where most students in there Big Break sit and do, for example their homeworks or eat. There are also many language Schools in London, which is why many People from abroad stay there. As a Student there are a lot of variety of universities and other Schools. I think for the Schools in general is it Important that the Students see the Buckingham palace because where I was there, there were many school trips, as well as the Big Ben or the Tower. The buildings are very beautiful and look great either by a park or by the guards with the high black fur helmet, they are funny you can take pictures with them and they do not move. If you have good luck you could see the Queen in a car by the Buckingham palace but that rarely happens, but it would have been an experience.
London is a beautiful City but also dirty, which means the air there because of the air pollution (1952). Which is generally not good for the health, if you have to travel to the school as a Student every day by Bus or with the Bike. That can be a reason for the many parks in London where are most of the people. One fact that my Aunt me told was, that the English people who live in London called London “ash bucket” (in German “Aschenkübel”) because when you come Home and you wash your face with a white towel, is the towel after the wash Grey or even Black. I didn't want to believe that, but it is the true. You should always wash your face after visit the city, otherwise it would be disgusting.
In general, life is different there than here in Germany ... I have gained a lot of experience and look forward to the next time by my Aunt in London. I could imagine living there, because its just something else. My Aunt is pretty strict but otherwise the English people are generally chilled and friendly and I like that. So I hope that I could tell you new things about London and the life there.
