When and why TV died in
the last years for the youth ?
Since
2010 the youth from 16-24 watch a more than a third less, since 2015 thats are
9%, TV and the children from 4-15 watch even a bit fewer as them its now under
100 minutes per day this are 12% since 2010 thats said a statistic from Ofcon
and its an adversed trend. This statistic said also that in the categorie
"all viewer" are more minutes then in 2014. For the Televison
Industry its suboptimal anyway, because only the people who watch more TV then
in 2010 are older then 55 years and 3 out of 10 from them say that TV worsened.
The reason for that is there are more options for the youth to watch films or
series for example Netflix every user of that watch 2,5 hours per day on this
and the qualitiy of the TV is not so good as there and in the TV there are more
reapts its easily to say that is not so intresting for the youth. Kids who were
born after 2008 for example maybe doesn't know the traditional TV. That is such
a big problem for the TV Industry that in the year 2019-2020 the BBC childrens
budget will reach 124,4 milon pounds. More than a quarter of that money BBC
will spend in online streaming to get on a competitive basis to the streaming
giants like Netflix. BBC want to get more attention by the youth and to realize
that the will as well restart theire old children's chanels, CBBC and Cbeebies.
