                    The consequences of social media and video portals



The youth nowadays is very influenced by different social media platforms and video portals like Netflix or YouTube. Because of those influences the culture of the youth did change. For example the youth in Germany. Many young people watch American series or they follow American people on Instagram and Twitter. Our language, behavior and habits are influenced by those platforms very much. The youth often uses English words when they talk to each other, which is called anglicisms. We eat American food, go to American fast food restaurants and buy our clothes in American clothes shops. The time we spend with social media is very long. Nowadays, it's a part of our life. It's natural to use those kind of platforms or to watch American series on video portals. We also use smartphones to get information but the part of social media is very big.
There are also negative parts of this developement. People don't talk to each other that often and many of them are dependent on social media. If you don't like social media or don't watch series, you're a misfit for others.
Kids don't play outside anymore because their parents give them smartphones. They forget how to interact with one another in real life and are addicted to social media platforms every time.
Of course not every kid is like this, but there are many, who are so addicted to it.
Social media have many positive sides, but there are negative parts as well of course.
In my opinion social media is a good thing if you don't overdo it and spend too much time on it.

From Germany to London What would change, if I move to London ? Today we asked ourself the question: “what would change, if we move to london” and that’s the topic I want to talk about today. When I heard the topic, I thought that then would change a lot, from little things to big things a lot would change.
